Proud Mommy Day!

Today was a pretty good day.  We started out at CBS (Community Bible Study).  We are studying Romans and today the boys learned about Moses.  I'm not sure if that is what got Noah thinking about God and the bible, but his little mind was working.  After lunch and nap we headed out to go to the gym.  Noah said to me, "Mommy, I know about God's promise not to make it flood again, but why are there so many floods?"  Wow, I thought to myself.  At 4 I'm not sure I would have connected the flooding going on now to the flood in the bible.  Maybe you all don't think that is cool, but I really do.  We are not the shining example of a Christian family.  I'm working to change that this year and get back my passion and joy, which is why the boys and I go to CBS.  I just love that he is soaking up everything he learns about God.  Growing up we were not taught about God.  I did not grow up a believer.  I really want my boys to become believers.

On a lighter note, Byron and I got to get out for a dinner ALONE!  We went to the Cheesecake Factory and OH MY GOSH was it good!  I went in with big plans for a piece of cheesecake, but I ate SO much I didn't have room :(  The food alone was worth passing up the cheesecake.  I'm not sure the amount I did at the gym would have covered cheesecake too.  Really I don't think it covered the meal.  Maybe we'll split a meal next time and save room for cheesecake.  Do you think I said cheesecake enough in this paragraph?  You want some cheesecake now, don't you?!  I'm starting too, I mean really the meal was hours ago, why didn't I get some to go?  :)

We'll I need to shop Craigslist for a double jogger.  I'm running now.  If you want to join me and my friend Anne, we are doing 2 5k's (Sept 27 & 28).  The one on the 28th is the Kirkwood 5K for the people who lost their lives at city hall.  Check www.kirkwood5k.com

Oh and one more thing.  Thrive is the new name for PRC (Pregnancy Resource Center).  It's a non-profit pro-life organization.  Check out www.thrivestlouis.org  It's a great organization and I love being apart of it.  I was the accountant until Noah was too old to continue going to work with me.  I didn't want to completely part from them, so now I photograph events and now 'graduations'.  Hope that helps.
