Caleb changes his own poopy diaper!

OMG, Caleb is too cute.  I put him down for nap and he slept so good through the shower.  I was showing someone around the house just after 4p and was going to show her Caleb's room.  It was about time he woke up or else it would be hard for him to fall asleep at bed time, so we went in.  When I opened the door we were assaulted by a really bad smell, poopy!  Caleb was up playing already.  I took him downstairs to change him.  So, here's where it gets good.  I took his shorts off and was about to take off his diaper when I noticed it was not the one I had put on him.  I checked him and there was NO poopy to be found.  Caleb says with a smile, "I changed my biaper, Mommy."  Now, he has done this before, but only with peepee.  Fear comes to my mind, but I reply with a big smile, "What a big boy, Caleb.  Good job!"  I put his shorts back on and head up stair to find the diaper praying as I went that it would all still be IN the diaper.  When I got to his room I was surprised to find the diaper on the cabinet in his room next to the box of wipes.  It was FILLED with wipes.  I had to get my camera.  He did such a good job.  He took it off, wiped, found a pull up in his cabinet, put it on (backwards) then put his shorts back on.  He's such a big boy.  I need to teach him to change his baby brother, Elijah :)  So, the picture of the wipe box next to a pile of white stuff, that is Caleb's diaper how he left it.  Since it was up on the cabinet I'm not sure if he climbed up there and changed it on top or just put everything back.  Whatever happened he seemed to keep it clean.
The shower went well.  I didn't take many pictures, so I only included one of the cake (I didn't even get to try it because I wanted to be able to eat a good steak dinner on my date) and one of me, Elijah, Carol (the pregnant one) and Stephanie.  It was a nice party.
Oh, I'll have to get a picture of Noah and Caleb in their new garage sale cowboy boots.  Noah went to a garage sale with Ooma (my mom) and came home with them.  He loves them.  He was wearing them around the house making all kinds of noise on the hard wood floor.  I wouldn't let him jump on the leather couch with them (kill joy that I am), so he took them off.  Caleb had on his snow boots trying to be like big brother, but when he saw the boots off Noah he quickly took the snow boots off and said 'My turn'.  He was hurrying so much to get the snow boots off and the cowboy boots on, because he knew if Noah figured out what he was doing Noah would try and stop him.  Caleb was so excited to stomp around in them.  They came up to Caleb's knees.  They were both very cute with them on.
Gotta go Elijah is up.  One more thing, it's almost official, he has asthema just like Noah.  Fun stuff.

OH gosh, I was cringing thinking of the mess that could have awaited you with the self-diaper change. WHEW! That's really something!

Glad the shower went well! And how was your steak. And where did you go. And when we need to set a date too. :)
