Just got home from Ohio

Well, yesterday my brother and I drove to Ohio to see my Grandpa (who my brother has not seen in 16 years).  We drove all day and got there at about 9pm.  We hung out with my Uncle Geoff and his family until about 12a then went to bed.  We sat on the new patio that has a nice waterfall fountain thing next to it with a fire in the fire pit.  It was so nice.  Then off to bed.  

The next morning we got up, ate and headed to my Grandma's house.  Both my Burge uncles, Ken and Chuck came to see us.  That was SO sweet, because there was NO warning.  My Grandma didn't know we were in town and neither did my Uncles and they dropped what they were doing and came right over to visit for a few minutes.  We really couldn't stay there too long, because we had to drive 2 1/2 hours to see my Grandpa, visit with him and be home before too late tonight.  All total our drive was 10 hours.

My grandparents are not doing too well.  Both of them said they didn't know why they were still alive.  It was sad.  My Grandpa said he had nothing to live for.  I wish they knew Christ.  All I know is that Byron's grandparents are older and lost their daughter (Byron's mom) years ago, but they praise God everyday for each day they have.  For those who don't believe I think the difference is evident in this example.  Byron's grandparents are not in great health.  Papa goes to the hospital pretty often these days with medical issues, so it's not that they have so much going for them.  Well, they do they have Christ, but what I meant is that they don't have worldly things going for them.

Anyway, it was a hard trip.  I was fun to be with my brother, but it was sad to hear what my grandparents had to say.  I need to get some sleep and I'll pretty drained from the drive and emotions.

Leaving on an up note, I got SO much done.  I'll post pics tomorrow!
