Noah had a pj day at school today. He loved it! He wore his batman jammies and Caleb wore his batman jammie top. They thought they were cool. I decided to make them pancakes today, which is SO not my norm. I just felt like it was a special day for some reason. Well, while I was making them Caleb came over to the stove and said "Is that mine, Mommy?" So, I said "Sure baby it can be yours." Noah was occupied with something else at the time. I put more batter in the pan and started getting ready to feed Elijah. I didn't check the pancake in time and I went over and said, "Uh-oh". When Noah heard that he ran over to me and said, "Mommy, is that my pancake? I don't want an uh-oh pancake." I thought that was SO cute. He did throw a bit of a fit, but I woked it out by spliting Caleb's pancake and taking off the burnt part. All was good!
Once I picked him up from school we drove around and dropped off some of my finished sessions. It was SUCH a pretty day today. Then we went home so I could drop off Noah and Caleb and go to the doctor. E went with me so Jim could play outside with the other two. They did an EKG on me because I was having chest pain. The crazy thing is is that the pain is muscle or something, not heart. But the doctor said since I was almost 40, OH THAT HURTS, that she wanted to do one just in case. Anyway, two prescriptions and a flu shot later I was out the door. E did really well. He did not like the fact that I had to lay down when they did the EKG, but he was really cute crying about it.
After that I picked the boys up and we went to the Harvest Party at our church, GreenTree Community Church. Noah and Caleb were cowboys and Elijah was Santa. It was so cute. I was too cheap to buy an outfit for E and when I was trying to decide what he should be I saw his Santa sleeper in the closet. He probably will not fit into it at Christmas time, so it was fun to see him in it now. Caleb is a kid that only will wear what he wants to wear, so I didn't think I'd get him in a cowboy type shirt, but I did and he felt the sleeve and said, "Nice". That was cool!
Noah and Caleb did the cake walk alone and together. I was proud of Caleb, he doesn't do things like that alone. He did tonight though. We had a good time and the boys ate lots of candy.
Got to go to sleep. I leave for Ohio tomorrow. I will be back Saturday night. Yes, a quick trip to see my Grandpa. I'm going with my brother. Looking forward to it.

A peek for Lisa

Hey Lisa just wanted to show you more. I'm not completely done with your images, but I'm getting close. Enjoy!
I'm actually going to bed before 11 that's amazing. Really, it's just a week that has finally caught up with me. I'm TOO tired. I have bible study tomorrow and I'm hoping to go, but my lesson is not done yet. :( I'll be prepared next week it's been a tough week.
Here's a peek for you Ann

Just thought I'd post some photos from this shoot. Three handsome boys! These boys were a lot of fun. They were much different than the last time I photographed them. I was told they were being bribed. It worked the photos are great! I hope you enjoy them, Ann.

What a nice day!

Was today not beautiful? Noah and I got up and did the Glendale Firehouse Run. Noah was not into it like he normally is. I found out later that he was sick. Then, we drove to IL and took a ferry, just because we thought the boys would like it. Then we had lunch some where by the river. It was pretty good. We were driving and Noah said, "Are we just driving and seeing where we end up?" It made me smile. That's what we do pretty often and now Noah enjoys it too. It was a great day for a drive. I was able to edit one of my Saturday sessions on the drive.
Noah fell asleep on the way home and when I brought him in the house he felt very hot. He had a temp of 102. I can't wait to get back to 'normal'. I guess this is pretty normal for us Bennett's. Anyway, we are up A LOT since Caleb had his tonsils out. I hope tonight is better. Tomorrow I'm going to try and get us back on a schedule.
I'll get picks from the run and maybe the ferry ride later. I've been just working on Saturday. Here's more from the weekend.
A few shots from today

I'm only posting a few of the sessions I had today because it's 12:35am and Noah and I are running in the morning. I've got to be ready to go in less than 7 hours! Anyway, I met some great families today and had a lot of fun with everyone. I'll post more from today as I go through them. I'm very excited to see them all, but I had to finish up some other sessions tonight.
Caleb is up right now. He's in SO much pain. I can't wait for him to get through this.

Butt Paste!!!! Aahhhhhh!

OK, so after Caleb's surgery yesterday we did get to come home which was nice, but the rest of the night was crazy. NONE of the boys were asleep before 9:30p. For Elijah that is very unusual. Caleb at first kicked me out of his room, but not long after he went to sleep he was up crying. Noah was up a bunch through the night with leg pains. He slept with me for a little bit but I had to leave because Caleb only wanted me. There was very little sleep happening in this house.
Today, my dad came to pick Noah up in the morning to take him to school. I didn't even feed Noah breakfast I just sent him with something to eat in the car. I really don't even think I gave him milk. Caleb needed me in the morning and Elijah slept in. It was nice that E was in bed until about 9:30a. He started to cry a bit and then he would be quiet, so I let him be. He then started really crying and I didn't want him to wait any longer for me to rescue him. Caleb had fallen asleep in the chair downstair at this time. That was the only good thing that happened today. I went to Elijah's room and when I opened the door he was very happy to see me. He looked SO cute because his hair was just everywhere and I laughed and said what have you been doing. Yes, I totally looked past all the butt paste that was all over his shirt, crib, changing table, crib toys, etc. All I saw at first was his cute smile and crazy hair. Then, I saw it. It was pretty cute, so I ran to get my camera. We had a photo session before bath time. He ended up getting upset by the time I was done.
I washed his hair 3 times and the butt paste did not come out. Then, it was time for him to eat. He was very fussy and I was guessing that it was because it was so late and he had not eaten. Boy was I wrong. I fed him a little and gave him some milk. While he was eating he pretty much exploded like a volcano. I've never seen so much come out of him and not that much had gone in him at that time. Then I looked harder and it was loads of butt paste. He was crying so I had to pull him out of his high chair and got his throw up on me. Back to another bath. No, the butt pasted still didn't come out of his hair all the way. Then I went to check what the container said about eating it. Not what I wanted to see.....seek medical attention or call poison. I called the peditrician who gave me the number to poison control. They were SO nice. Thank goodness it was not life threating since I did a photo shoot, bath and food before I called. Who knew he would have eaten it??! Barbara, from poison control, called later to check on E. He only threw up that one time. Before I got off the phone with Barbara when I first called she asked how big of a tube (of butt paste) did I have. I laughed and told her it was a tub. Later I saw that he pretty much scooped out handfuls of it. Half of the tub was gone!
He's doing good and so far everyone is asleep! I pray for a better night. I better take advantage of it and go to bed myself.
More images from last Saturday...more to come

Here's some of my favorites from this session and I'm not even done editing them all! This was such a great family. It was a lot of fun for me. Enjoy.
Later I'll post images from my day today. Believe me the Bennett's do not disappoint. We can't cut a break to save our lives. Our lives are NOT boring, though some days (like today) I wish they were. :) Check back to find out why!

Stress about tomorrow

Caleb has surgery tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous about it. I think we will actually be home tomorrow. We were told before that it would be an over night in the hospital. It would be great to come home. I think Caleb will sleep better, but I might be a little worried that something will happen in the night.
Anyway, on a lighter note. Sunday my sessions started at Fort Abby. Abby had the cutest play house/fort in her yard. She seemed to love it. When I came in the house she was right there to greet me and show me around. Way too cute as you can see. Her eyes are amazing! And boy was she on the go. I had a good time with the whole family.

Feeling Blah!
Well yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing 4 families. One was mine, my sister-in-law brought my nieces and nephew to the park I was shooting at. I hope to have some images up from yesterday later today, but I'm still trying to finish last weeks wedding pictures, so we'll see. All went well yesterday.
Today I have another sinus infection and feel just generally blah! Pop is going to hang with Noah at rest time so I'll have time to work and rest later. I'll be in touch.

Beautiful Kirkwood Wedding

Yesterday I was the second shooter for a wedding in Kirkwood. It was great. I got to shoot with Sherry Rosenberger, Hi Sherry :) who I just think is fantastic. Here's a few images from that wedding. We went to Wash U and Forest Park for pictures and they are beautiful. I have never had a chance to shoot in those locations, so it was cool. I have to get ready for church and four shoots today. Busy day, but it should be beautiful!
